Some cucumbers from my garden

Here are some cucumbers I am growing. Funny about cucumbers, I went out the other day and found a few. Today I went out and started cleaning up some. As I moved the leaves from the vines around I found a bunch more cucumbers. I have the vines on supports so most of them are off of the ground but there is part of the vine on the ground. Some cucumbers were hiding there. I like to harvest before they get too big. Taste is better and frequent harvesting stimulates more production.

This is a pickling cucumber. You can eat them raw, too.

This is a burpless cucumber. You don't pickle these kind, just eat them.

Nice. Ours aren't that far enough along. I do have one tomato turning, though

Don't think my cucumbers are going to make it. Had a late cold spell that postponed planting, then it went to almost full hot. Have been getting tomatoes and okra.

Tomatoes and okra. Shoot, you have the start of a meal right there.

Half-Sours?

SCEtoAux,

Are you going to ferment a few for half-sours?

They go great with toasted cheese sandwiches and a beer, known as a ploughman's lunch...,

It's been way too wet here, our cucumbers are not doing well at all.

Doug, you got that right. Chop an onion and a couple of cloves of garlic. Lightly grill, then throw in a pot with the tomatoes, okra, some stock and a good dose of chili powder. Let simmer for about 20 minutes. Yum!
