Dinky Toy TOS Enterprise Restoration
Restoration Project: Dinky Toys U.S.S. Enterprise.
Phase 1: Make the upper primary hull white again... Acquire Retro-Brite plastic whitener. Spray liberally on plastic surface. Place in sealed ziplock bag. Place in sunlight. Wait. Success. Now, on to Phase 2: Fixing the saucer section... |

Either it is a trick of lighting or that plastic whitener and sunlight is some really good stuff.
Will be interesting to see method for rebuilding saucer front.

My compliments on this project!
When I was a wee lad, I wanted one of these and the companion D-7, like so bad! If I recall, they both shot orange orange discs; a child's dream toy (before the days when toys were supposed to become fuzzy, soft, & free of any semblance of violence out threat!). I never got either but this reminded me of those childhood memories and its great to see that someone respects and preserves these memory-triggers! Much luck with this effort!

Bought a set of the discs, but it did have the shuttlecraft.

Wow...
So many memories of drooling over this behind the glass doors of the "Toys by Roy" display case! Shuttlecraft was on the glass shelf right next to it, IIRC it came out of the belly of the toy... Thanks for the memories!
