Car cabin air filter
I need to replace cabin air filter in my car again and like before there is no way I'm paying 30+$ for one when I have nice, new and much larger filters in basement for my furnace. There are dozen of videos on YT about how to do it,I added papermodeles flavor to it by using leftover card to make frame.
Et Voila,I have a new filter for about 2-3$ and some 20 min fiddling with paper and scissors. Cutting filter was a bit more challenging but after few fails I know how to do it. Furnace filters are less restrictive than OEM filters so they put less strain on fan and can be blown clean easier with compressed air. They should still be changed as often as needed depending where you drive and how dusty is your area. I park often in industrial, dusty area so 3 times a year is a must, otherwise inside of the car gets dusty fast. Original furnace filter I used. I can cut 3 more out of it. On left is original car filter,on right is my own out of furnace filter. Practical use of paper modeling skills |

I'm obliged to service my car annually (it's leased) and I pay a stupid amount for having little more than this filter replaced and the battery coolant fluid changed.

Great idea if my 2015 Expedition had a cabin filter. 8-)
