TrackIR user?

I know there are some simmers out there, and IL2ers in particular. Has anyone used the TrackIR head tracker, and does it live up to the reviews and hype? I'm thinking of buying one soon and would like some extra input.

Do you mean this little device (pic 1)
I had meny an hours fun with the MS Flight sims with it
But if you can get a VR headset (pic 2) that works under XP or Vista its even better!!!!
