Scott, I have read that book, a lot of neat history and info in it, from what I remember, it had line drawings of the frame work, gondola, and such, made me want to make a balsa model..Thanks for the link.

I have always joked to the wife that I wanted to build a model of this in 1:33, suspended from the trapeze. The entire hallway ceiling would be the bottom of the hull.

If the ceiling were taller, I could probably get away with it (but then shes the one who came up with the 4'x5' poster of the Akron in it's hangar for the living room wall)

Deckape- is this the Williams Brothers kit? It was recentlyu re-released.

I seem to remember an F9C on display at the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola. Could be wrong, though. Lord knows there's enough treasures in that museum to make you forget just exactly what you saw.
