No, I've never heard of it. Is it a plug-in filter from a 3rd party vendor or is it part of the initial install?

I try to manipulate the lighting to get those effects. It usually looks more natural if you don't get too many 'extras' into the soup.

A good photograph of a model just doesn't happen. Your photography and CGI techniques only enhances your absolutely superb models. Please consider writing a tutorial on the subject? I know I could learn a lot.

I appreciate your comments, thank you very much.

At this time, I'm quite involved in another tutorial for this site and it is really time consuming. I'm not sure how long it will take me to finish the present tutorial.

Just thinking about your request, I wouldn't even know where to start. I've been involved with CGI before the C part even existed;-) I was a beta tester for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. It also takes some pretty powerful equipment to really give this style of CGI it's due.

Let me give it some thought, but it would be some time before I could even start writing up any kinds of suggestions.

I use the following software for my work:

Photoshop IX, Bryce 5, Poser IV, and Illustrator 9. If your interested in looking further into these packages to see what the learning curve might be.

Feel free to ask additional questions.

Other than build a full scale diorama, background photos can enhance a display. The trick is to place the model in a proper scale surrounding. I like what you have done. Here are a couple of my past projects when I used to deal in plastic, and play Warhammer.

That's what I'm talking about....... I really like the way you created atmosphere in your images. Haze, fog, clouds make a huge difference in making an image look real.

Great examples of models coming alive in their world.

I have not gone back to this type of graphic works in a long time since I got addicted to paper but eventually I will attempt it with papermodels some time in the future. I always said, that a model by itself is just an item on display but a model in action tells a story.
