Models in their environment

Just a quick post to show some of my additional attempts to place models into the real world.

I posted a series of space craft in their space environments and this is a post to show some of my other a/c in their worlds.

These are all FG models from my past placed using Photoshop and Bryce, a landscape design program.

The Cayley glider,
Hansa SS,
J-3 at sunset
and J-3 at ahhhh sunrise;-)

Notice: It's NOT OK to actually place your papermodel in water!!

Excellent examples of how adding some context (environment, props, figures, etc) can really bring a miniature to life - whether it's a scale diorama, or a virtual image! Nice work!

Wonderful! I love this sort of thing. I remember an article in Air Trails many years ago about photographing airplane models by simply setting them atop a large photograph and adjusting the lighting to eliminate the shadow of the model. Those photos looked good to me then and the techniques just keep improving.

I'm sorry, I don't know what "hdr" means? Maybe I do, but not by that name;-(
