Model Airways Sopwith Camel 1:16
The last few weeks I have not been working on any paper models, but I've built the metal and wood WW1 Sopwith Camel fighter plane in 1:16 scale from Model Airways. A very enjoyable build, and I'll be back building paper soon!

Wow, Marco! You may not have been building any paper models lately, but you certainly haven't been wasting your time.
That Camel is simply magnificent. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing the pictures. |

WOW, very nice! I have always been impressed with Model Airways kits, I just think they look awesome. Then you put them in the hands of an experienced builder and this what you get.
Great job Marco, and wood kinda counts as paper, it just hasn't been processed yet.:D

That is a beauty........ I have the kit and have often considered getting started on it.
I built the Hasagawa 1:16 Wright Flyer back in 2003 and it's always been one of my favorite models. Congrats, excellent work. I don't know if anyone else is interested but I wouldn't mind seeing more picts of this one. Thanks, sfx |

Many years ago Hasegawa even did a 1:8 Sopwith Camel, but that one is extremely rare now.

Beautiful! My buddy is working on the Model Airways Albatross and these kits are very impressive when viewed in person.
