Pipes...,

Pipes enhance the Scottish national penchant for marching off to lost causes and to provide hackle raising music for arcing, sparking and burying affairs (also enhances fights breaking out amongst family members which naturally spreads to include the inlaws too). No need for much else besides a drum (someone's got to keep the beat after a few whiskeys...,)...,

An instrument that plays a national anthem by it's very sound ...,

Nice other-do Bagpiper!

Nice yes the Cheftians have played with some of the most famous musicans and singers in the world, they even played with the red army choir once, not to many groups can say they played with the red army choir the same year they played for a US president.

Nice interpretation mate. :D. Bagpipes are one of the few instruments to bring out emotions (mixed with alcohol of course). I remember playing in front of 4,500 people in belgium and you could have heard a pin drop. We were playing Amazing Grace solo , then the whole band, then solo again. Heck it's enough to bring a tear to the eyes. I have also had the honor to play for our heros at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. While it is a sad occasion it is one heck of a send off. Thanks for your comments Gil.

The Cheiftans are one of the few bands that seem to be able to do this. On top of which they are just a great down to earth group of people.

Thanks for the comments.
