Pipes enhance the Scottish national penchant for marching off to lost causes and to provide hackle raising music for arcing, sparking and burying affairs (also enhances fights breaking out amongst family members which naturally spreads to include the inlaws too). Nice yes the Cheftians have played with some of the most famous musicans and singers in the world, they even played with the red army choir once, not to many groups can say they played with the red army choir the same year they played for a US president.
