Well, got to see the baby owl again and got my second covid shot. The rest hasn't been the greatest thus far.
I've talked to Mom twice (her back surgery is tomorrow, but they still haven't given her a time) and she has yet to wish me a happy birthday. Probably not a good sign. Got my 'final' deposit for the job I lost in April, and it was $460 short. The $130,000 case one of my agents wrote yesterday turned out to be only $60,000. Something tried to rip out Urchin the Feral Cat's throat. On the bright side, my basement has been real close to getting water in it since Saturday, and I haven't had to pump yet. And I might be getting a 5G phone. T-Mobile has a deal where you can turn in any working device and you can get a 5G phone if you pay the one-time $25 upgrade charge. The key word is 'working'. Just because it is working doesn't qualify. There is evidently a minimum standard on condition. Since the 'working devices' will probably be thrown away, battery covers that don't fit well seems to be pretty weak for turning my folks down on their phone. I will find out if mine works for the deal this afternoon. Wish me luck

Well VK Happy Birthday anyway! Look on the bright side - there is a stack of stuff that hasnt gone wrong!
Sorry to hear about the cat. Is it recovering? We have two feral cats, but they think half the time they are domestic now, which leads to confusing situations!
