Thank you guys!
I like the San Pablo boat. That goes on my potential to-do list :-)

Great looking model, and a great subject. I look forward to your build.

It probably would be easier to find plans and photos of USS Panay. Then you also would have to do a small Standard Oil tanker, rafts and sampans, warlord and Japanese light field artillery (Krupp of course), and write war game rules for escorting the tanker up river and back down in spite of river pirates, war lords and Japanese units which might or might not be helpful. I don't think there is a USS Panay paper model, there was a resin model. Both Sand Pebbles movie and book are worth watching/reading. |

LOL ... thank you John, for putting even more ideas into my head. As if I didn't have enough already :-)
I think I will have to try and find that movie to watch now!

Thank you guys!
I have worked on the alternate wooden framework texture. Here I am using it for the interior walls, but it can also be used for the front wall. I think I am getting close to the finish, so that I can build the larger 12" wide version. That one I will build with the wooden front wall. I really like these old Chinese wooden ornaments! Chris

I think Oliver Bizer used to have a small (10-12cm/4-5in) USS Panay available before he closed his personal website, but his models can still be downloaded after joining AirDave's CutandFold forum. Email Oliver for the password(s).
By the way, Panay is a small island in the Philippines. Quote:

Yes, this house will be the current months Patreon reward and usually one month later on the "public" webshops (Shops – Papierschnitzel) Speaking of this months rewards ... I am working full throttle to get it done in time, so yesterday I completed the first final regular build for taking building instruction photos. I used the new wooden framework texture. Also made a new back wall option with this. Now I need to make the fold-flat build that allows disassembly of parts and the 12" wide large house! Chris

If you need to disassemble for storage of safe transport ... just finished the conversion of parts for that!
It's not the regular paper modellers need, but a big thing for gamers
