Gemini Space Craft
This actually the Delta 7 Gemini 6 kit, but I tried to keep the build as generic as possible to represent just a general Gemini. I left off the starboard hatch to show off the ship's interior. This also one of the models I've built with the Huntsville Plastic Modeling Society.

I need some shelves for my room. I'm sorely lacking.

Can't help there - I'm always looking for other peoples' shelves (IAW with the principle: keep "she who does not dust such things" happy). Small humans are also good "storage" alternatives (though that will shorten the lifespan of the model).

You should contact your friendly local astronomy center/planetarium and ask for a shelf there, like Yogi does.
I am about to do the same here in a while. The astronomy section of the university here had a big part in designing equipment for the IRAS satellite. (and also in Netherlands' first satellite called ANS, which is also a girls' name here albeit oldfashioned. I think I'm digressing here-) and I know that one of the professors of the astronomy faculty is a papercraft enthusiast. Displaying one's work means more shelf and perhaps more papercraft-awareness. |
