Need Help with Surfduke's Sigma 7

Hey guys,

Are there any instructions for Carl's (Surfduke's) Sigma 7? He's designed a really cool interior, but I can't tell how all of it goes together.

Anyone tackle this baby before?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

I checked all my files (since I was the one writing the instructions for Carl) and I have nothing for this kit. Carl never forwarded any build info to me.

Sorry,

Mike (also)

Mike, I was hoping you'd see this and respond.

I remembered that you were hosting his stuff and were putting the instructions together. I was hoping that maybe the file existed, but somehow fell between the cracks.

Oh well, I will have to go to the Air Force Museum tomorrow or something and take pictures of the interior of their Mercury spacecraft.

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike, some more reference for you.
Here's a build made by Phil Smith who took a reasonable detailed 1/12 Atomic City Merc and made it into an almost incredible mini scaled real version of the thing. Okay, it's polystyrene but it's god for reference. I have the kit myself and what he did to is has become legendary. I hope I someday get the nerve to try and do the same.

Paper,

That's stunning!

Hopefully I can correlate Surfduke's parts with what I see here.

I really hope you can duplicate this model. It's amazing!

Oh, and Mike, Mercsim (Scott) knows almost everything there is to know of all the Mercury capsules flown and unflown and has a huge photo archive. He himself is working on an 1:4 paper model of the capsule and someone over at the neighbours is making it into an 1:1 model now as we speak.
Perhaps they also are good reference.

And of course you could PM Carl; he can tell which is which in his model.

I can tell you that Carl did all of his designs in CAD, so if you can get ahold of him, you can probably get a copy of his CAD file to see where everything goes.
