ares 1-x

Well, I was asked by a friend to create a display piece of something "big". So I blew up the amx ares 1-x model 300% to 1/48.

At 1/48 it needs a little more detail... but it still looks good from a couple of feet away. At this size they are just shy of 7ft.

Hellooooo! That's not exactly small! Nicely done, Thales.

Two meters of rocket. Cool.

I like your thinking -- if one is good, two is better!

Great builds!

Well, I generally make two at a time. All of the "better" parts go together. So I end up with an above average one and a crappier one. I give away the good one and put the junk one somewhere... or use it for testing/experimenting with new ideas later on.

Alfonso's designs do scale up well (although I went for 1/96th scale) and you've done a fine job here.
