Apollo 7
I actually built this roughly a year ago, but I decided to change it up to represent the launch, inspired by PaperKosmonaut's work. It's essentially WeeVike's LC-34 with the Apollo 7 Saturn 1B with some stretched cotton balls added.

Dyna,
Very cool! I've been planning on doing something similar, but I'm very happy for you that you beat me to the punch. Mike |

For launchtime, the access bridge is still uncomfortably close to the rocket, IMHO. Should it not have been swayed back a bit further? Apart from that, it has become a very nice display! Glad to have been of some kind of inspiration. It's very nice to see other modelers bringing their models a bit more to life.

This was the photo I was using for reference, the perspective made in look like it was right up close to the rocket. In another photo, the arm's twisted flush with the side of the tower. |

Just wondering: Can anyone suggest a good technique for representing exhaust flames instead of smoke?
I'd like to do something similar to the Apollo 7 piece with an old 1/144 Airfix Vostok without trying to build the entire freakin' launch table and arms. Les (Friendly Airplane Asylum & ex-NASA flack) |
