1/1000 Space Shuttle Enterprise

I wasn't real sure what category to put this in. While the hardware represented is real space, it's purpose is for scale for sci-fi. So moderators do as you see fit.

Anyway, I scaled down AXM's Enterprise model for this. I've considered building the SCA, but having gone nearly cross-eyed building this one, I think I may pass. Maybe down the road, perhaps...

And here's a shot of it with the 1/1000 scale refit Enterprise.

Wow, that's small. I think the picture next to the Enterprise is actually really cool. Is that to scale? Even if not, it still makes a great comparison.

If I did my math correctly, they are indeed the same scale. And if I didn't, they look pretty darn close to me.

Reminds me of a Blurb in the Trek Book "A Flag Full of Stars" that mentioned the Space Shuttle Enterprise having been refurbished for the July 4th celebrations. Nice couple of models there!

It's kind of funny that even at this scale, you realize how massive the Space Shuttle really is.
