I'll be there, Billy! And taking my uncle with me, he's into building the big wooden ship models, which I haven't seen there yet.

Thumbs up

Ken, I am delighted that your world has become brighter and clearer again! I have one concern, though - if your models weren't detailed enough up until now, I shudder to think what ol' Eagle-eye West is going to dream up for card modellers now! We'll all go half-blind trying to build the things, I reckon!

Take care, and enjoy the view!

Some time real life comes first, so I'm bringing the CM to the Euroscale today not completely finshed, but it doesn't matter, I can actually work on it there..

Oh My !!
When you see it out on that table you really get a feel for it's size.
That is so cool.

Now, maybe my builds will look a little better from now on!

Apollo 1:12

I was wondering: wouldn't it be possible to have the Command Module, the Lunar Module and the Astronaut in the same scale so as to make a proportionate diorama? Thank you for your help

Well, in theory that is all very simple, of course: if you have got Ken's astronaut, just reduce the scale to 50% when printing it. 1/6 becomes 1/12. The lunar module, same story. A good one to start with is U-Don's LM and it has to be scaled up to 1/12. This might be a little problematic because 1/96 to 1/12 is an enlargement factor of ... ermmmm.... 800% I guess (please correct me if I'm wrong!) and you would have to rearrange all the parts to get it printed on regular sheets of A4 sized paper. And you'd need a large bunch of paper.

You also could downscale the CM and the astronaut to 1/24 or 1/33 and upscale the LM a little less extremely. It's all in the way you use your printer. Or the copier.

But it is doable.

But a diorama with the astronaut, the CM and LM in one setting? How and what would you have in mind? There has not been any situation these three were seen next to each other during a flight. Every moment in time the CM was docked to the LM, the Service Module also was there and the astronauts were inside of the spacecraft. So, strictly technically speaking, it would be more like a same scale display than a diorama.
