Rich,

The LES itself is 39 inches tall. When it sits over the Command Module, the total model is 40 inches tall.

Ken, could you tell me the distance across the base of the CM, as a reference in case I get confident enough to tackle designing a SM?
And it was the sheer number of parts that gave me pause; I've never seen anything but excellence in your designs! 200 pages!

It's Monday night, and I'm taking it easy from the busy weekend... but I did manage to add the top cone to the rocket.

Picture 1 - the BPC on top of the Command Module. The assembled subject is heavier that it might seem.

Picture 2 - the cone in place (as Buzz looks on from the back wall)

Picture 3 - it wasn't until after the picture was taken that I realized the Kitty Hawk was sitting on top of my 1931 Philco Model 90, that I personally restored a while back. What I was going to mention is that this radio was 38 years old in 1969. Guess how old Neil Armstrong was when he walked on the Moon?

Here is one of the best shots of the BPC; happens to be the famous Apollo 11 Launch photo. The top of the Service Module should just fit under the BPC. I'll get you that dimension. It seems that there are many people on the forum that would really like to see a Service Module!!

Here are the left and right hand Intermediate Equipment Bays.

This weekend, I plan to finish up the remainder of the structural elements of the CM.

Getting closer every day.
