Astounding work - you've made another masterpiece Merzo!
Is the final result suitable for a kit, or is there too much custom work involved? Yogi |

It is a touching little creature. Wonderful work, Merzo. I hope you are able to get this plan out as a kit. The spiral wire around the antenna cone could be made with paper and most of the cables you made are also reasonably easy to replace with paper (for the purists among us). It is, like Yogi said again a remarkable piece you made. It isn't finished though, am I right? Luna 17 still to come?

That is just too cool! I've always loved the Russian Space program, and the Lunokhods were wonderful little critters. This is an excellent build; very creative use of various media!

Hi everyone .. Thanks for the compliment .. The model revision Lunohod old "ABC" papermodel, not much has remained true to the original version. If someone stumbles upon searching the net (legally I do not know how it is, so I can not link to) me it was just the inspiration. The production again made measurements collected at the end of the project .. Added but this is only part of the plan. Preparing for the 17th Luna Nowhere is this plan is, therefore, entirely your own photographs, they made plans This idea is.. Very little information .. Someone does not document Isayev "KTDU 417 engine? Almost no plan, no photo. My plans Greetings to everyone Merzo |

I find your use of ground-based templates very inventive and I wish I was able to apply them myself for some builds. Alignment made easy. I lack in maths skills, unfortunately. The carrier vessel looks promising. You used white glue for the styrofoam balls?

Quote, Merzo: "Someone does not document Isayev "KTDU 417 engine?"
Forgive if I am wrong, but, is not this engine just the same as the Orbital Manouevering Engine intended for the Manned Lunar mission? To my eyes, it looks to be very much the same engine, but without the external coverings it would have had for the manned lunar mission. If my thinking is correct, (and I admit I may well be wrong), then the published images of the OME I mention might be good enough to use as references for the build Merzo is so skillfully executing. Regarding the styrofoam balls: unless one uses either white (PVA) glue or silicon-based adhesives, almost any other type of glue/adhesive (example Uhu, or Bostik) has a huge disadvantage for styrofoam: it dissolves into a chemically burning sticky messy lump in seconds. And it will damage skin and eyes (minor chemical burns) if in contact with skin for longer than a very few seconds. It is, in effect, a very very weak form of napalm, so to speak. Kind and Respectful Regards my friends, Uyraell. |
