So this is an update on the Heat Shield and aft compartment floor. I have discovered that I am able to print the pattern directly onto the heat shield before Vacuum Forming the part. This eliminates a lot of the pain of applying the pattern as a separate item, and also eliminates the high cost of the extra material. The look is the same.



This is a picture of the floor cut to fit onto the cockpit compartment (See page 17 of the instructions) I made this so that all curved and joined spherical surfaces were consistent. This is simply traced and cut to fit around the parts after you have completed them.




And this is the Aft compartment floor (See page 6 of the instructions)



So it's three parts, Heat shield, and two aft compartment floors,one to be cut out to make the crew compartment floor cover. I'm guessing that almost everyone who builds this is going to go for Billy's blown apart display.
