On november 12th Rosetta spacecraft will deploy Philae lander over the C/P comet; is any papermodel o3 3d file available for orbiter and lander?

There's also a Philae lander on the ESA site ESA Science & Technology: Cut-out & Build
Again a little simple though Best regards Doug |

Has any of our talented designers considered making a more detailed model of the Rosetta?

I've collected photos or both Rosetta and Philae, but no time to do it now. I'm busy with the ISS. But if someone has the time, I'll gladly share what I have.

Just to show we too can have a little fun with the kiddies' model too.
I made the camera and the binoculars myself, they weren't included in the model. I also was really touched by the animated video's they showed of Rosetta and Philae. This is why I wanted to make them in the first place. A nice way to get me back on track to the more elaborate stuff. |

Cute! I particularly like the binoculars. Did you make them (and the camera) from scratch or were they made from a kit?

The legs for the dish also were rolled and made from black paper. The Philae model Trung mentioned is the same as the one above linked by Doug. It's reasonably detailed but there is not a comparable model of Rosetta. Pity. |
