I put to sleep the series of launchers of the space powers to present you an exceptional model because the original does not yet exist!
This is the model, produced according to artist's views by our talented designer ETG, of the future launcher of the firm ULA (Boeing + Lockheed-Martin), under study, which will replace the current rockets Delta4 and Atlas5.

I have received the model by email on the 24th. Thank you very much Erik!
Here is the Vulcan launcher in normal version with 2 boosters. It is 62 meters high (compare with the Juno1). The engine part of the first stage is designed to be recoverable and reusable.
Tomorrow, you can see the heavy version with 6 boosters.

Beautiful model. I also look forward to building it.
I just have to wait at least a month before letting us into the coppy center.
So I'll wait for the second option. All the best.

Today, I present to you the extended version of the future Vulcan launcher, shown yesterday.
It has 6 boosters and measures 73 meters high. Pretty baby but still in the conception stage!

It is in 1936 that the famous professor of aeronautics Von Karman receives in USA, a young Chinese student H.S.Tsien who come to complete his studies. This student, specializing in rocketry, quickly proved to be extremely brilliant. He even participated in the aeronautical technology research tour in Germany in 1945. He worked on American rockets in prestigious centers such as JPL and Caltech and in 1949 applied for American nationality.
However, it was soon the time of Mac Carthy's Red Scare and the hunt for Communists.
Accused wrongly of red sympathy, Tsien undergoes during five years a whole series of vexations: interrogations, imprisonment, prohibition to leave the country, house arrest, etc ...
Deeply disgusted, he decided to leave the country which was to become his own and to return to China now under the control of Mao Tse Toung, which he achieved in 1955.
He is welcomed with open arms and put at the head of the research program of the People's Republic of China on rockets.
In a few years, it will equip China with long-range nuclear missiles first and then with satellite launchers.
Thus, on April 24, 1970, China became the fifth space power by putting 173 kg into China1 orbit, carried by a "Long March 1" rocket with 100 tonnes of thrust.
Nowadays, China is the country that launches the most rockets, which is able to send men into orbit (the only ones with Russia), which targets the Moon (where several of its robots are currently activating ) and is preparing to send a space station into orbit for the third time!
The model is from Markcable design.
