Telescopio Espacial Hubble

Hi everyone!.
I will show a model of the Hubble Space Telescope, based on a design by Ton Noteboom which in turn is based on the post-Service Mission 3B configuration, performed by the crew of STS-109 in March 2002.
Let's see how it turned out.

In the aft shroud, it was very difficult to install the base, either because of the quality of the print or the assembly. After several attempts and tests I finally managed to put the base, not very well but it was installed (Photo 6, 7)

The mirrors.
Before installing the mirrors, the interior was painted with matte black paint (Photo 8).
The main mirror was covered with silver paper (the ones that cover the chocolates) (Photo 9)
The presentation of the mirrors before installation (Photo 10) and the mirrors already installed (Photo 11)

This is coming along nicely Constorion! You’re going to be so happy with the result.

I've been a little intimidated by the Hubble, and for that reason have been reluctant to try to build it. With your pictures as a reference, I might give it a try.

PhantomCruiser.
The truth is that it is a more simple model, without much complication, although much more detail could be given, which in this case I did not want, due to lack of time.

We continue with the assembly.

The Solar panels and High-gain antennas.

Photo 17-18: The panel supports do not match the model originally, it was an idea and I covered a rods with silver paper.

Photo 19-20: Here I had a little problem with the axles. A 1/8 inch (3mm) wooden dowel was required and I only found a 4x3mm one. so I had to adapt it, but in practice they must be 2.5 mm to be able to insert into the holes for them.

Photo 21: The axes of the panels were also covered with silver paper.

Photo 22. The High-gain antenna

Well, we finally installed the opening door and it looks like photos 23, 24 and 25.
I think that several details can be added that do not come with the original model, making the work more interesting. Perhaps with more time, I dedicate myself to a Hubble 2.0.
A hug to all.

Very nice build!
I have also build some years back the same kit, but with silver foil and in 1:25 scale...
