1/38 Track and bed.

Here is my 1/38th scale, track and bed build, from earlier this year. This was made for displaying a 1/38th loco build of the E94 Krokodil, (which you can find in another thread. )

Very good-looking track, and an excellent display base for your locomotive.

What are the cross-ties (sleepers) made of? Are they paper? They look very much like actual wood.

The cross ties are made on 2mm thick cardboard. The edges are coloured with pastels and blended. See pics ....

Thanks! I made up a sort of 'brake press' to fold the rails, using stiff card and a steel rule, as shown below.
