Started this one yesterday finally. The basic frame work is finished and I am contemplating installing the cargo floor to add strength before adding details.

I thought this would be a nice simple model. Ha, it is very challenging! Thankfully fit has been relatively good with no major issues.

Will post photos once my phone camera and I are on speaking terms again.

Greg

looks good! I see a little tearing on the folds there. Maybe a bit lighter paper would be good for future suggestions? Thoughts?

This is on 67# "bristol" paper I got from Office Max a while back (when I lived in PA). I use it for most things card model and only break out the 110 for structural stuff.

To go thinner would force me to use regular printer paper. While I agree that something inbetween would be best, I know not of a source for such.

Also, I have painted the white parts and the structure got a bit flimsy until the paint dried. Using regular printer paper would only make things worse.

I think doing this in a larger scale would alleviate the issues I have had thus far, but I want to build this in the designed scale to show true results.

I'm doing my best with this one and hope that the end result is acceptable.

Don,

Thanks. You were talking about the model and not my avatar pic, right?

More progress. May not look like it, but believe me its more progress than you might think. Still a ways to go yet though.

That is some very fine work there, Greg. Lots of tiny little parts going together nicely.

No pictures right now but I must at least report on what is going on with this build.

I am currently trying to figure out the best sequence to build the undercarriage detail. The drawings are very good, but neither they or the part numbering provides an appropriate build sequence without having to fish parts around each other into place.

Also, I have made a few mistakes and have been trying to figure out how to workaround them without having to backtrack. I hate backtracking.

Will post more photos as I take them.
