Hi Diderik,

If you do get this going, do a proper 1:25 please so it will go along with my other locos

Have a look here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/1681620@N22/pool/alcoalbe/?view=lg

Hello Diederick:

An 1:25 model would be a great idea, and of course there are many paint schemes to choose from.
I suggest you contact Model Railroader (Kalmbach, Waukesha, WI) or the National Model Railroad Association) for drawings. They most probably will be able to help you.

Maurice van Wagtendonk

By the way, O Scale in the US is 1:48, or quarter inch.

Thanks everybody for your help. I think we now have enough drawings and measurements to be getting on with.
We will go for a 1/48 model, with either instructions / files for printing as 1/25 or 1/87 - the latter with some adaptations because of the seriously smaller size!

Suggestions are always welcome - we will see what we can do.

The F7 is such a classic, what a worthy modeling subject! Best of luck with the project!

Will you do a B unit also? They look best as a set.
