Just a few, Elliott, taken from different angles...
This one was the assembly before painting : Plan view : And (a bit blurry) from the underside : I have now started the construction of the otherside's drivetrain. Because the parts are all the same (but in a different position) I think pictures would just be repetative.

Thanks for the additional pics. You really are a talented modeler. The pics just confirm it. Looking forward to the next update and pics when appropriate. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, but I don't consider myself that talented though. When I look at the work of some other people on this forum whom work without lasercut parts... those are the real talented ones.

Finally the drivework is finished
The next phase will be the kettle of course, I already made the boiler a while back to break the monotony of working on the drivework, but today I have installed the funnel :

Thanks, RichO.
Meanwhile, I've done the dome (I have no idea what's underneath it on the real engine) ... By far not perfect, but when glue dries I'll try make it a bit better :

Looking good. That's the steam dome. It's the highest point where the steam is gathered, and it's where its administered from a lever in the cabin to the two side cylinders (which drive the wheels). the other dome (which has not yet been attached) holds sand.

As said earlier, the dome wasn't any way near perfect, so I decided to tinker a bit with it.
So, after looking at at it, and seeing how the quicklink of my Dremel was only a bit smaller than the support pipe of the dome, I wrapped some tape around it to fit the pipe : The dome was placed snug on the Dremel : Sommy putty added : And after a few turns on coarse and later fine sanding paper this was the result : Just a layer of white primer, and the dome is (to me at least) a lot better than before :
