Thanks, guys.
@ Sharunas, I'm not sure if I understood the question correctly, but I suppose you ask about the 3d charracter of the engine's id plate... that is in fact not my achievement, it is part of the lasercut set, the actual part is just a flat black piece with white text on it. The effect is not the only advantage of course, the main thing is that I will be able to paint and dry brush it. What you see atm is unpaintd, only with a layer of two of enamal satin varnish (to harden it).

Looking great, and the plate looks very detailed. Built in Poland is it? I would have thought it was a german loco. looking forward to the loco's cabin

Thanks for the pictures, Draccus, I hadn't seen these yet.
Would you have any idea, why this engine is called "Las" ? According to an online translator that would mean "Forest", was it perhaps used in forrestery ?

Steam locomotives of this type were used primarily to transport goods in the production and processing of wood, rarely for passenger transport. So indeed "las" mean forest

Hi Guys (and girls of course)
I just trying to get into the Steam train building and planning my first locomotive in a short while after I built several Japanese warships: http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gall...user-index.htm But first I like to live into some expressions etc. For instance "Bn2t, Cn2t, Dn2" what does that mean, where do the characters and numbers stand for ?? My first locomotive will be one of the before mentioned types. Hope someone can shine some light in my train darkness By the way I like your model so far Dan, well done, hope mine will also look that good ! John. |
