My friend, I don't know how you do it. Your work is mightily impressive with clear explanations of what you are doing. Keep up the good work!

The braking system is made out of many pipes going just about everywhere. The mechanical components of the brakes slowing down the wheels have already been added (see previous pages). Here is the air pump attached to the side of the boiler.
An overall view of the brake piping Most steam locomotives have two air reservoir tanks. This only has one (located between the two front driving wheels) plus an equalizing tank fixed to the other side of the engine. Here is the main reservoir tank. The ash ejector is more visible here, located between the two cylinders Air from this tank gets pumped into the brake cylinder, which is located underneath the cabin, above the oil and water pipes leading to the tender The equalizer is located on the right. Some new devices in and outside the cabin.
First is the speedometer attached to the rear driving wheel. Inside the cabin you can see the brake levers and just behind them is the speedometer. this simply measures the rate at which the wheel turns, and is used to indicate the speed Also note the new double-dialed brake pressure gauge above the window. Here we can see two new things - the fireman's swing chair and a wheel handle coming out of the floor. this controls the dampers, which opens a small door just above the ash doors. This simply fuels the fire. View outside the firemans window, with the flue lever, cylinder drain wheel and sander lever visible. most of these should have been located on the driver's side, if not for lack of space |

And there was colorful CGI.
And Aldeb saw that it was good. And Elliott saw that it was pleasing to the eye And he said "Wow!".

And finally the tender. Nothing special here. Just a simple corkscrew braking system for all four wheels, several toolboxes and a pipe running through the side, supplying the air brakes for the rest of the train.
A better view of the back toolbox, lamps, couplers and brake pipe A view of the water pipes supplying the engine Connecting the unit with the tender |
