US Civil War Locomotive ( 3D Art )

Hello. Not a real-life model, but something I've build on a computer.

The buildings in the background are from a real photo. The old locomotive in the foreground is a 3D model that I have made. I really liked how it all came out so I wanted to post it here.

Original Unaltered Photo:

This is the computer model. I know it's not accurate to the time period (the paint job must be way off), but I wanted to give it a weathered, degraded look

That looks very nice. Are you eventually going to build a physical model of it?

I'm itching to build a real loco model at 1:25 scale... but I'm still saving for that 3D printer )

Impressive detail and textures on the virtual model! And the "period" photo looks great!

V. scale model

That is an amazing piece of work. I can see a lot of time and effort involved in this project. Very well done. John
