The following montage uses HO scale (1/87) printed sheets from Bestpapermodels.
They are dedicated to the Gneisenau battery of the German Kriegsmarine during the Second World War. It was a battery of 4X150 mm rail guns. They were deployed in Poland, then on the Atlantic Wall and finally in the Sète region at the end of the war. The sheets are scanned and reduced to 1/220 scale. The locomotive is recovered in the new Märklin "post" set. 2 wagons received additional loading, including a piece of Flak. |

Frankly, there have been times when I have wanted to point a Flak battery at Hewlett Packard products...

The combination of this Bestpapermodels train and the new Märklin 82228 set enabled me to build this German tank transport train in 1944.
Note the BR52 armored locomotive and its condensation tender. Model at 1/220 (Z scale). Use of a removable Rokuhan shorty chassis for the loco. The train has been tested in this configuration on my test track and runs smoothly. |

Nice! I'm almost tempted to get into Rokuhan shorties, but I already have a bunch of used N-scale stuff I was going to rebody as Philippine National Railways.
I'd probably be the only one with an Alsthom Bo-Bo-Bo locomotive (planned conversion from Bachmann PCC streetcar) in the hobby! |

In the book, chapter United States:
which is the bible of armored trains, written by the best French historian on the subject (and a fine modeler, too, as he wrote articles for MPM, the first French model magazine, around 1980), you'll find an American paper layout from 1941 depicting a fictitious U.S. armored railcar from the Rigby firm, famous at the time for its hundreds of paper models. I couldn't resist the pleasure of building a model of this curious machine, and motorized it after reducing it to 1/220 scale. |

Excellent collection. Very impressive. Soviet ICBM train got my attention since I was watching few videos about them on YT not long ago. It seems like they are either back in service or new ones are made using new generation of missiles.
