Steam Loco - Wuerttembergische T3 | 1:45 | Aue-Verlag | Nr. 715 | H.Scholz

The model shows a locomotive that was built in 1898 by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen under the number 2982, number 975 by the Wuerttemberg State Railways and finally number 89 328 by the DRG. Three examples of this type have survived.
Hartmut Scholz's Schreiber model also contains two freight cars, which can also be put together if necessary.
The first construction steps are less exciting, the approach of the frame construction is essentially very similar to that of the HENSCHEL locomotive by the same author.

I really like the coloring of the frame - and the cardboard material shows also excellent quality ... the basic frame structure photographed from different directions:

Long boiler, standing boiler etc. etc. I hope I'm using the correct terms. Everything fits together relatively easily.
I don't attach the accessories to the smoke chamber lid until the roof will be added ... otherwise I'll tear it down endless times ... :-)

.. the attachment to the frame actually works smoothly - the transition from the long boiler to the upright boiler is solved perfectly here! I could imagine the whole thing a little less "fiddly" - but as they say here in Bavaria "basdois" ... :-)

... the "water boxes" were given a massive "inner reinforcement" - in contrast to the given template - so that the quarter rounding works without any problems.
The boiler fittings (?) consist of two parts that can be cut out independently of each other and not a fold-down double field - which I would have preferred here personally. The front and back are mirrored electronically, which should ensure precise congruence. Because of the rather very small size, this design idea is a bit of a challenge despite the most precise cutting out.

Since the side walls of the locomotive driver's cab are integrated into the components for the water tanks, the driver's cab logically is the next assembly step.

.. the building grows a little ... yes, everything fits. The spartan interior of the locomotive driver's cab cannot be seen from the perspective shown - which reconciles me. I like to repeat myself: the cardboard material is a pleasant surprise. Somewhat "strong" (0.195 mm) but easy to handle ...

... the pretty model of the Wuertt. T3 is ready. The available literature (Willhaus, The series 89 3-4 / Wuerttembergische T3) did not reveal any really reliable new findings - so I leave it as it is.
Apart from "edge coloring" and an UV protective coating, the model has not undergone any refinements. On the whole, this is an extremely attractive model - but not for beginners. Absolutely no way. :-)

.. the last pictures.
At Willhaus (the series 89 3-4 / Wuerttembergische T3) the »975« is photographically documented - but without an air compressor. Nevertheless, I have added this to the model (it is included as an optional group of parts on the sheet) ... The construction of the pump replica contains some inaccuracies - the assembly instructions are also a bit ambiguous here. But that doesn't detract from the pleasant overall picture - a really cute locomotive model ... the two freight cars contained in the complete kit could be added later ... if I like to do it ... :-)
