Hi Mike, that’s good question
The search keyword is “neodymium magnets”. Please give it a try at google and you will find it. The magnets I’m currently using is coming from Amazon.

Impressive comparison between the PY27 and the TY2.
The current project must be triple the amount of work of the previous project.

Hi Mike,
Yes, you are right. ^^
Good meditation project.

Made the “tunnel” between loco and tender.
Start with two paper rings and napkin paper strip.

Carefully attach napkin paper to inner side of the paper ring.

Attached small magnets to make it detachable.

Installed small magnets at the corresponding locations at tender side and did fit check. Looks good.

Tentatively set it between loco and tender and get the width and the shape.

Using thin CA glue get the shape fixed ( CA glue, gradually, drop by drop )

Ready for Painting.

It took full 2 years.
Looking back. It’s too huge model to build and… display
Thinking about smaller one for the next.
