Bit more work on the tender...... I punched out a couple of water tank covers from cardboard and coloured them black. I attached them over the printed covers (white circles) on top/rear of tender......

I split the wheels/bogey for the tender from the locomotive wheels. I doubled the thickness up by gluing onto the card then cut them out - without the backing, I felt they would be too fragile. I attached the wheels (after colouring the backing and cut edges) to each side of the tender - I used a set square to make sure the angles were vertical. I admit to using lengths of card as a shim (since the chassis wasn't quite square)!

Very neat start. |

Then I cut the shroud out..... After rolling to achieve the required contour, I trimmed it to fit the front/top leading edge of the tender.....then glued in place (right hand side in photo).

Yeah, I think 'charm' is a good description 👍🏻 I've got a few of the original and 'New Micromodels' kits in my collection. I get high-quality colour copies of the ones bought made onto 150gsm card stock for building.

With the exception of a possible coat of gloss varnish to the body, the tender is finished. I quite like how the buffers look.
Now to continue with the locomotive...... |

The tender looks mighty fine! I applaud your skill at working in such a small scale with such precision.
