Thanks, T! Forgot to mention, I added a domed lamp at the top - this is clear UHU, held upside down until set. Non-standard, but I'm not a purist 😄👍🏻✂️

When the dark oak stain-varnish on the base had dried, I painted on dilute PVA glue to the non-varnished area where the track will run. I then positioned each rail sleeper onto the glue and poured over very fine kiln sand, which will act as the ballast. The first photo shows what it looks like at this stage. Once the PVA has dried, I will shake off the excess sand.
. The second photo: I tested the profile picture on the card to see if the inks were compatible with oil-based clear hobby (semi-gloss) varnish - only the front half of the loco has been varnished. It's not easy to see from the photo, but the varnished end looks much better and the inks are compatible - I will go ahead and varnish the locomotive and tender. The varnish will also provide additional strength. |

Very well done on the detailing at such a tiny scale. I wonder if you might take a picture from further out next to a hand or other object just to show how small this really is?
