Hi Kurt, amazing work on the instrumentation at the boiler front. Nice details at the valves, pressure and level gauges. I remember from my own build of a steam engine that this is one of the most satisfying parts of such a model. Keep up the good work!

Hello everyone ,
@ ricleite : Yes , Modelik 's digital printing is not good . Looks nice but is very sensitive to the cut edges and kinks. With this digital print it is not possible to build a new locomotive without painting. That's why I use the abrasions on the paper for the aging of the model. Thanks also to Erik and roman models There is a little progress to report again... Continue with the roof ... consisting of 25 parts ... ...which are first prepared. ... put the roof on now ... ... and provided with the accessories ... In between an overall view. Sincerely Kurt |

I'm trying to build a "digital print" locomotive without overpainting it, Kurt.
Not very successfully I fully understand the difficulties you are going through and your choices regarding weathering |

Same with my current build, it's almost impossible to avoid small damage to the print so my plan is also to paint it. We have to do it to white edges anyway.

Hello
@ Dan : yes you think correctly @ Ricardo : it is very hard to build these locomotion without painting @ Siwi : I use the white edges with the weathering , for me itīs the best now letīt go further ... Parts 66 and 0.5 mm copper wire ... result in the handles for entering the driver's cab. Floral wire 0.8 mm and copper wire 0.5 mm ... for the sand lines and handrails. Sincerely Kurt |

Beautiful details. Did you do the weathering yourself, or has it been printed on the model already?
