@ Erik – not necessarily. The next carriage is the open wagon. It has a rather complicated door assembly but, apart from that, it is more of the same. The locomotive and the passenger cars may be more appealing. I’ll get there…
@ Philip – Thanks Take care, as this is only the first carriage Well, another long session of rivet cutting and gluing… |

I’m not sure that the door mechanism was intended to be like this. Anyway, it works!

That's beautiful work Ricardo! How did you make the rivets? With a (revolving) hole puncher or "hollow pipe"?

Thanks, Erik I have both a revolving hole puncher and individual punchers for smaller diameters (1mm and 1,5mm). The revolving puncher is faster but I didn't find a model for smaller diameters.
Moving on to the locomotive, the pictures show the back wall, complete with the brake actuator. |

The first picture shows what I guess is the water tank. I wonder where the coal was stored. The third one shows misalignments on the lower side panels. Swapping the left and center sections of the add-on frame solves the problem.

Thanks, David
Cylinder assembly was a bit problematic. I added thickness to the bolts (they were just printed) and they tended to collide with the parts glued over the center section, which should be a little longer. |

Tedious work, and so very neat!
Regarding bolts or rivets I have been experimenting with various diameter plastic rods by cutting small slices from the rod and glue them on the parts concerned. But the quantities were much smaller compared to the numbers you are dealing with.... Or small droplets of white glue, which I'm using now for the Dauntless. Again, in much smaller quantities . Cheers, Erik |
