Micromodels - Stephenson's Rocket
This model is of Stephenson's Rocket and station was published by Myles Mandell in the 1980's and is loosely based on an earlier Micromodels publication from 1946
The model has no more detail than is smaller original. But has inherited some scaling problems. The model has built up quite well. Though I did have to carry out a bit of work to keep the wheels to the track gauge. Had some OO gauge passengers so added them to the diorama. Had to buy in the loco crew though. Not quite the right era, but close enough The rails are 1mm card and sleepers from coffee stirrers. The rest of the items used are generic model scenery railway items. Overall not a bad model. Think I'll use wood for the base next time. Tim |

I've seen the cover of this kit many times but never seen one built until now. I like this diorama setting and he way you enhanced the set. The Rocket deserves it. Well done and thanks for showing.

Wonderful diorama, Tim. A historic model in so many ways.
