First models
I'm just starting out in paper modeling after having done a few years of building plastic car models. I started with an airplane model but it had no instructions and was too difficult for me at this stage. I found these RXR locos and have completed three of them. The AC series one was the most recent and I think the best. I'm starting to get a feel for what's involved in building paper models and am enjoying it. My thanks to whoever it is that created the RXR models and shared them...I couldn't find a name on the web site. All constructive criticism is much appreciated.

Looks to me like you've got the basic skills and then some going in the right direction.

Always nice to see the RXR kits. Simple, but look great. They are fun to re-paint too.
You did a great job. Gary

You seem to have got the hang of it. Nice models. Onwards and upwards!

The RXR models are very interesting, personally I redid the road names, add relief parts and mount in shell to be motorized ... some examples .

Wow...gorgeous work! And very clever. Do you use some sort of gloss coat on them?

Thank you very much
Sidney Schwartz, I finished with a spray varnish, only one coat so as not to be shiny and remain more realistic... An image of an original and motorized RXR model. |
