[GPM] Polish Armored train Danuta, 1939, 1/220 Z.
You know my interest in armored trains and Z scale.
So here we go again, for the first assembly of the year. Take a good paper model, GPM HO scale (1/87). Reduce to Z scale (1/220). Start cutting and gluing, beginning with the easiest wagon. The chassis and wheels are supplied by a used Märklin refrigerator, duly butchered and shortened. A real pleasure! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

As someone who also has an interest in railway models of all varieties, I will be following your progress and excited to see the model come together.
Maybe you have shown this before, but do you run these with motors in the locomotives as a real model railway? How well do they stick to the track being so light?

Hello and thank you for your interest. Indeed, whenever possible, I try to motorize the train with a Marklin or Rokuhan Shorty chassis. To ensure a minimum weight, I can add ballast in the cars. The trickiest part is dealing with the tight radii of curvature of miniature track compared with real track. |

Indeed, when the first post went up I was thinking, "How the heck are they gonna build it in Z scale?" Then I saw who it was and thought, "Aha, no problem then!"
