Ruben did a c-47 with my father's squadron marking and sent it to me a couple of years ago. (Thank you, Ruben!) I don't know if he posted it anywhere.
My hard disk died a couple of weeks ago and I'm waiting for my new computer. Once I have it, I can post the model on the forum with Ruben's permission. '

But I had the final PDFs The version represents a C-47 from the 94th squadron - 439th Troop Carrier Group USAAF, piloted by 1st Lt. Robert Sakrison as it was in service in 1944. No invasion stripes on the model. Just a regular military C-47 paint scheme because this particular plane was not used in the invasion. This repaint was requested by David Sakrison some time ago, and I had not uploaded it publicly. He proposed the scheme, as it was his father's plane. And I liked the idea and felt happy to oblige, mostly because there is that emotional link attached. So this is the first time we share this version openly. Once cleared you can get it at our downloads section: Downloads > Aviation > Military > WWII As usual with this kit, all pages are in A3 paper. Only parts to build the kit. No instructions here. You will need to go to the original download to get the instructions. The Alan Rose design was for an early DC-3, and some details of the engine may not be accurate for a C-47. You may have to scratch a couple of cooling vents for it. A square of green color is provided in the last page for that purpose. YukonJohn made a nice alternative face for the engine that can be used to replace the original Alan Rose parts. You can find the new engine face here: http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/vbdownloads.php?do=download&downloadid=1445 Kind regards,

Phew - that takes the pressure off me! Hadn't forgotten your request Herky.
I have been working on Rhodesian Airforce and South African Air Force camo versions - both pretty generic in terms of camo. But, I lost the files, then found them and now am in a situation where I do not have a private machine to host my editing software on. So everything ground to a halt. Pity, as I reckon I was 80% done on both versions. Was at the stage of checking the matching of the camo patterns on ajoining parts. One day!

Alan Rose's DC-3 is only 1/3 DC-3. It is more a toy type model. No serious aircraft collector or modeler wants this type of slashed model to be placed anywher, too big and rather awkward. Geli's DC-3 or Flymodel are really very nice indeed. But naturally we still live in a free country and there are people for everything in life.
