Arrow story on BBC
Just came across an article in the BBC regarding the cancellation of the Arrow program. Sad ending.
https://www.bbc.com/future/article/2...unts-a-country Some nice photos of the prototype at Downsview airport north of Toronto. I had the pleasure working at that airport for 3 years on a different project; the Bombardier Global 7000 supersize business jet. Opinion: The one takeaway I have observed about Canadian aircraft programs is that they are all too often controlled by the wrong people with insufficient backing. And when they do take the big swings ( like the Arrow ), they often run out of money. Political pressure from the USA was all about money anyhow. If Canada had enough of it, they would not cower to the US plane makers ( they purchased the Lockheed F-104 which was a troublesome interceptor that barely carried any ordnance when compared with the Arrow capabilities ). Anyhow, please read the article. Isaac
