Happy New Year everyone, and thank you for your very kind feedback! Getting back in the swing of things, here is the fourth funnel. Since this was a "dummy" funnel on Titanic, I had to slightly edit the top of the funnel.

Hi Marco,

I just got back to watching your build and it is very impressive.
Are Gomix/Fly models much different to build than the typical GPM models?

Hi Greg,

I'd say a major difference is in the hull construction. Whereas the GPM kits I'm aware of (I once built the Prince of Wales) allow for the construction of a waterline version, this Gomix Titanic is designed to be built as a full hull version. It allow for a smoother hull, but if you would want to build this kit as a waterline version, it would be a bit of extra work.

The last structure on the boat deck is the Second Class entrance. I am now working on one of the more tedious and difficult tasks: the lifeboats and davits.

This build is coming together nicely!
Did you have enough lifeboats?

While starting to cut the parts for the lifeboats for my 1:200 Taschen Titanic I discovered they included only 16 lifeboats..

This model has the full set of 20, so the 16 regular lifeboats and the 2 clippers and 2 collapsible lifeboats.

The life boats and davits are a tedious task, but looking at the ones you hace cut out, they really do have a great deal of precision. A huge undertaking, but certainly worth all the effort you are putting in - this ship is sooooo worth it Marco. Do you get repetitive strain disorder in your fingers through all the tiny cuts and folds ?

Not only that, those curved cuts in thickened paper eat up knife blades like they're cornflakes!
