Cook stove chimmeny ................took me abit of thinking to come with this little detail not apart of the kit but is on the French Drawings for this vessel. Base hand cut walnut.......hole 3/16th hand reemed......smoke stack was made by cutting a rocket launching lug, a plastic coated straw @ a 60 degree angle and then re-assembling the cut parts back together @ the cuts.......stack to be painted Floquil RR Engine Black.
Stars are from JB Models, EU and painted RR Depot Buff.

As time goes by, my memory how to build paper model fade away, Rick san. I’m a little rusty on it. And viewing and appreciating others’ build does not cause me stiff muscles. I want to have a comfortable life for the near future.
Get back to your build, the chimney looks great. It enhances look of entire ship furthermore.

I understand my friend, my right hand gets stiff oft too. But I know your work and feel sad to know we might not get to see the master @ work again creating those works of wonder you produce. I do hope to see you checking in often, and please @ any time make whatever suggestion you see fit Yu San.
Got alittle bit more done today before that American Sport came on TV, Football................

The deck really looks good Rick.
Your improvisation for the cooks stove pipe worked out quite well.
And if I am correct, those rocket launch lugs are made of paper, then coated with something that hardens them.

Rgds,

I am applying the 2nd layer of the hull planking now. Then after this is done, you go back and apply ea. plank one @ a time clunker fashion. I hope to have this portion completed by this weekend.
Thanks for looking in RDK.
Rick

Rick san,

Planks look very smooth!

I hope you will not be given honey do list this week end so that you can bend your mind to planking
