Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement for the building of this vessel. I have located a French published book that even though is written in that language, has a complete plate/series of drawings and plans for the Le Coureur in 1/48 scale. Now if I could just get them to respond? Then again, I do not see the price for this either, maybe just spitting into the wind.

If it is the Jean Boudriot book on LeCoureur you should be sitting down with your feet elevated when you see the price.

I was afraid of that. I found a copy on a used list and the price was scary. Way more than I will pay. Maybe someone will help with a set of plans from an independent drafter.

Why am I not surprised that DORIS has a group of friends that make ship models? That is one girl get together I wouldn't mind being watching as a fly on the wall. |

This book does not have the hull plans and extensive detail that Boudriot has, but does go into considerable detail about the rig, where the Shipyard instructions tend to be weak. I think you will also find less price shock here.

Well almost a year has came and went since I posted this when I got as a Christmas present. I have started the keel/frame work and will work on this @ the same time as I build a Golden Bear design of another French vessel. This way when I get tired of working on one, then I will switch to the other. This seems to keep me building for some odd reason.
