Peter, can you tell us where you're cutting on the internal formers?
Are you splitting the outline, cutting inside or outside of it?
The sections you've built so far look like they are fitting very well.

If your talking about the circular formers in the barrel, I'm not cutting, but scoring.. as there are tabs along the outside of the circle, and I'm scoring the middle of the line. Come to think about it, I'm doing all the cuts in the middle.

2nd skin layer...

Started on laying the second skins, which I think is a more realistic look. Small problem on the layout of the pieces, because the marks for the parts that are attached to the outside of the hull won't line up if you go by the diagram. Heinkel recommended attaching all the pieces with the marks to the hull first, and then filling in with the others. I think this a better way to go anyway, because I can see if you started at one spot and worked your way around, there's a good chance of ending up with the last piece being either too small/big depending on the accuracy of your cuts. I'm finding that it's easier making the small adjustments on the short run between the pieces. Photo should explain it..

The technique corresponds with wooden model ships. Maximize space.

Thanks Jim.. Believe me it is far from perfect!!!

Here's a couple of photos showing where I'm at as of now.
Bolt heads on the side are from straight pins painted black. Starting to make up the outside pieces, and also plan to have the rudder & linkage movable. We'll see how that goes. Have a couple of non paper figures that I'm working on, so I not really putting a lot of time into this at the moment.
