A beautiful ship, Barry.

What are the hemispherical lobster shell devices fore and aft of the No. 2 funnel? The British version don't seem to have had them (at least initially) and they appear to have had only one twin Bofors mount directly abaft the funnel, rather than the two mounts on the Vendetta.

Hi Don

Vendetta was modified by the Australians to suit their needs.

The tops are supposed to be canvas covers over what I think is an optical sight as protection.

Wow, you have made this ship much more detailed since my last visit, it really looks nice to my eye, Barry

Just catching up on all my reading. Gearing...Daring.....both end in "ing". Great choice of subject matter.....do you think I'm biased? AND a great job once again.

Hi barry... just thought I'd revive this thread to let you know it's been quite helpfull with my 1/200 rebuild of the Vendetta, so far I'm not having any trouble figuring out which bit goes where although there are multiples of some parts and I've sometimes used an older one before noticing a later, improved version of the same part.

Given the fact that there are no part numbers or instructions, I think I'm doing pretty well so far but will probably need some guidance when I get to the smaller detail bits. Main Deckhouses are complete but I'm not going to glue them all on until most of the superstructure parts are complete so I can add some details.. one slight change I've decided on so far is to cut out the portholes so I can glaze them which I can already tell is going to be time consuming but worth it in the long run.

Well I did warn you I am a messy sod but you know the ship well and you know where to find me. The bridge still lacks a binnacle and the captains repeater station.

I'm not complaining, I'm enjoying the challenge. When I start to pull my hair out you'll be the first to hear about it
