Hello gentlemen,

your nice words are always welcome. In the German forum I titled my project, when you have nothing, then you did it! I like adventures and challenges ...
So I fill the superstructure - in German 'Brueckenhaus' - with life in terms of swan neck and other vents and checking out the fitting for the life rafts into its position...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

As always, just wonderful work. I love these post-war rebuilds of wartime ships, with all the innovation that went on the 50s the result was some of the most interesting and unique ships in naval history. There has never been anything like it before or since. I eagerly await more updates to this project.

Thank you, Avery!
After the Second World War the German Navy was totally forced down - absolutely right and more as that.
So my intention is, remembering the days as the German Bundesmarine starts in cardmodels. So I've picked for now the GNEISENAU...

The next pics shows how the Passat-Verlag and their designers handle the superstructures. Formers gives the height; plus decks of doubled cardboard and to set the walls (Aufbauwaende) we use 'L-profiles' as seen. You get a precision - I think - acceptable ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

Hello Barry,

thank you for your comment and for all the friends of white models and pre-war vessels the next steps. I closed the superstructure at the stern, positioned all the racks for the liferafts and a lot of vents and doors became 'plasticity' ... and the davits in the right place as well ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried
