Hi,

That is AWESOME! Now put some hot water on it so it will grow up into a real size model! It is so cute and tiny, but AWESOME!

Thank you! I do all my work with a headband magnifier, so I tend to lose sight of how small the actual model is until I step back to photograph it. Then I think, "Dang! I need to work on something larger!" Mr. Hathaway offers a few of his kits in 1/160 scale (N gauge) in addition to the usual 1/250, and I think that is an option he should consider for the remainder as well. Even at that scale the model would be under 10" long, but much easier on the eyes.

P.S. You are the second admirer who has described the model as "cute" -- this is surely a moniker ill-suited for warships and an additional sign that a larger and more menacing kit subject should be undertaken next!

P.S.S. This model, along with my other Paper Shipwright builds, will be at the Western Ship Model Conference & Exhibit next weekend in Newport Harbor -- I hope I will run into at least one fellow card modeler there?
